Anzient Bronze Byzantine Cross Pendant 1000 years old - turquoise beads necklace
Ancient Byzantine Cross in bronze - about 1000 years old, set on a strand of Turquoise beads with one additional ancient bronze small pendant / finishing touch added on. Makes a wonderful wrist wrap! Or a necklace. It is a continuous loop with no clasp and can be slipped over your head, or re-strung to have a clasp. Imagine who may have worn this before! This necklace was found near Athens, Greece. The cross itself has a long history and may be from anywhere in the Byzantine Empire. Simply strung on nylon, this valuable piece can be re-strung on the cord of your choice, or left as is!

Measurements & details: Weight of necklace 38.2 grams. Cross pendant is 2.6 cm tall x 1.7 cm across. The second, smaller ancient bronze pendant / bead is 1.5 cm x 1.3 cm. The turquoise beads are .6 cm in diameter. They are interspersed with brass/ bronze metal spacers. Age of turquoise beads is unknown (probably strung during the 20th Century). Length of entire necklace is 63 cm / 24.5 inches. There is no clasp. The Cross pendant has circular decorations, is covered with patina of age, and has scalloped or indented edges to the cross arms.
